POSITION SUMMARY: This position supports the maintenance and enhancement of the club's structures, amenities, and overall aesthetic by performing skilled carpentry work, including repair, construction, and installation duties throughout the property.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs or assists in preventative maintenance and repair of wood structures and fixtures.
- Maintains and oversees all tools, materials, and workspace in the carpentry shop.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine material requirements and construction methods.
- Constructs, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures such as furniture, cabinetry, doors, windows, shelving, partitions, and trim using wood, HDPE, or similar materials.
- Builds and installs cabinetry and custom woodwork for various areas such as the golf course facilities, tennis areas, and clubhouse.
- Performs general maintenance duties including repairing wood and metal doors, hinges, locksets, shelving, and light furniture repair.
- Uses hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Drives a golf cart or company vehicle for material transport and project site access.
- Performs any additional tasks as requested by Facilities Management
Education/Experience:
- Professional carpentry experience required (3 years minimum)
- High school diploma, or GED preferred

- Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to use all types of tools and equipment efficiently and safely
- Able to read and understand technical drawings and building plans
- Able to adapt to changing work priorities
- Able to communicate and work with a diverse group of people.
Licenses or Certificates
- Valid driver’s license
- Certifications in trades a plus
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus

- Must be able to use step ladders, extension ladders, and 6ft scaffolding.
