What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Director position at Huntersville Family Fitness and Aquatics Center?
LIV UNLTD Children's Services and Huntersville Family Fitness and Aquatics is looking for a Summer Camp Director that is responsible for supporting all aspects of the Children Services Division. Qualified candidates must be able to interact with children, parents, staff, and local leaders.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate, develop, and implement plans for themes, lessons, and age-appropriate activities for camps and pre-school.
Oversee and implement day camp curriculum with emphasis of theme week/days and engaging activities for campers.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with directors, staff, parents, and families by way of open communication, positive problem solving, flexibility and teamwork.
Camp Programs: including but not limited to; staff and camper retention, safety/risk management, parent relationships, registration details, general marketing, and promotions.
Enforce all LIVunLtd policies and procedures.
Other duties may be assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred background in education, teaching, or the alike.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Good decision- maker.
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to provide leadership, command the respect of aquatics staff and guests, and be able to delegate duties when needed.
Ability to work as an individual and also within the framework of a team.
Understand and abide by the company’s customer service and member experience standards.
Understand and abide by the overall company’s policies, procedures and expectations.
- Maintain personal physical endurance and agility necessary to perform job functions.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
