What are the responsibilities and job description for the De-Burr/Polish/Clean Technician position at Hunting Energy Services?
The De-Burr/Polish/Clean Technician is part of our Subsea Division located in Stafford, Texas. The purpose of this position is to de-burr, polish, and clean all Hydraulic coupling bodies and components to the highest quality obtainable.
Responsibilities
This position is primarily responsible to:
- Understand basic operation of the Ramco and Blackstone Cleaning Systems, its purpose, and how to evaluate water cleanliness in all tanks. (Wash, Passivate, and rinse).
- Perform daily preventative maintenance on machine and change water and chemicals in tanks when needed.
- Communicate with leads, supervisors, and planners daily to assure routers and schedules are accurate.
- Understand basic tooling, its purpose and how to evaluate wear limits and change as required.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of a micrometer, caliper, and a profilometer.
- Play an active role regarding “Lean” processes by working and communicating with Planning, Quality, and Peers to identify and implement ways to improve flow to increase throughput.
Required Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Able to operate Mag-deburring equipment on all component parts.
- Able to operate the Comco Micro-Blaster.
- Can operate all wash and passivation equipment in the department.
- Able to operate buffing wheel equipment on all coupling products.
- Preferred: Experience with deburring of machined parts a plus.
- Knowledge of Grinders or buffing wheels and bead blasting equipment.

- This position will require working in a Production Floor environment with non-hazardous noise levels.

- This schedule includes evening and weekend shift work.
