The Regional Sales Executive (RSE) provides full support of the company’s product lines globally to customer accounts.  The RSE is to develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.  Develop and maintain the appropriate relationships with both new and existing customers to ensure satisfaction and identify new business opportunities.  This may include but is not limited to sending quotations for products and services, ensure T&C’s and customer specifications are reviewed by the proper departments prior to submitting a quotation and or proposal, direct communication to the customer, participate in teleconferences, visits to customer facilities, hosting of customer visits to our facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
  • Support the development and implementation of sales strategies/tactics that drive the obtaining of booked orders for ALL HES-ST product lines.
  • Actively sell and support HES-ST products and technology in assigned customers to promote long-term business relationships with HES-ST.
  • Provide written reports, as assigned by the GSM, detailing pertinent activity at specified customer accounts. This activity information includes but is not limited to customer technology developments, project listings/timetables, monitor competitive activity within the account, customer personnel changes, organizational charts and any other information deemed by the GSM to be pertinent to HES-ST’s success
  • Work closely with large, strategic current and new customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales within assigned accounts & regions.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in current and new customers, including plant or facility executives.
  • Provide technical support to customers, identifying and resolving customer complaints, escalating as required.
  • Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer needs are identified and addressed.
  • Demonstrate the ability to stabilize jeopardy business in large, strategic accounts.
  • When required, assist other HES-ST departments in achieving their goals when customer interaction is required.
  • Provide accurate sales and project forecasts by customer and HES-ST product lines for specified accounts.
  • Conduct technical presentations to customers covering HES-ST’s product lines.
  • Help develop sales and marketing plans specific to customers and HES-ST product lines.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
  • Prepare reports on account status.
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory.
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Preferred: Degree in Engineering, Business Administration and/or Marketing or related field
  • Preferred: Technology and Systems level sales experience with Subsea Oil & Gas hardware (minimum 3 years)
  • Must have strong customer service background and skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a can-do, team player attitude is a must.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments and meet basic requirements of the position.
  • Ability to work with fellow coworkers, analyze and solve problems and negotiate across company department lines to deliver the service and products to satisfy customer needs.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry and the trends that affect the demand for HES-ST products
  • Ability to interface with all technical, commercial and management levels at specified customers and operators.
  • Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
  • Computer skills and efficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Also, must have the ability to learn basic ERP software usage.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, use hands to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required.

Work Environment/Conditions:

  • This position will require working primarily indoors in a smoke-free office and manufacturing facility but may also require the employee to be outdoors on occasion.
  • Both local and global travel will be required to support offsite personnel and business projects
  • Occasional assignments will require remote accessing and may include evening or weekend schedules.
  • The noise level is usually moderate. Employee will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
