Summary of Position

The Assistant General Manager at Hunting Hills Country Club is responsible for all clubhouse operations; essentially being the “face” of the operations with a hands-on approach. Assists in planning and implementing budgets, hiring, training and supervising staff and applies relevant marketing principles to assure that the wants and needs of the club members and guests are consistently exceeded.

As the Assistant GM you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the planning and execution of both member and non-member events, as well as the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage program. Collaborating closely with the Executive Chef, and Event Coordinator, you are responsible for ensuring the successful execution of events and the seamless functioning of our F&B department including the restaurant, member programming and the seasonal pool operations.

Human Resources:

• Plan and execute effective orientation and training programs for new staff.
• Develop and implement professional development activities for experienced staff.
• Address HR Level 1-related issues.
• Monitor employee dress code compliance with policies and procedures.
• Manage the long-term staffing needs of the F&B department with a focus on FOH and event staffing.
• Maintain and monitor food and beverage timekeeping records

Event Coordination & Member Programming:

• Develop and execute member programming, including ideas for specialty brunches, themed events, and booking weekly entertainment.
• Manage Google Calendar, ensuring accurate listings for member communications and timely communications of internal events to all relevant departments.Collaborate with members and clients to understand the requirements for each event.
• Lead venue tours and contribute to achieving sales goals in both membership and catering sales.
• Oversight of all event operations, including setup, execution, and cleanup for events working with the Event Coordinator and event staff
• Perform thorough final checks on event days to ensure all aspects meet the highest standards.
• Oversee event proceedings and swiftly address any issues that may arise.
• Supervise servers and bar staff for event setup and during the event.
• Plan events with attention to financial and time constraints

Day-to-Day Operations:

• Ensure effective orientation and training for new staff and plan professional development activities for experienced staff.
• Greet guests and oversee the restaurant service routine on a daily basis.
• Address and resolve member concerns and suggestions, as well as issues related to general service staff, team member attitude, maintenance, and the appearance of clubhouse facilities.
• Keep the General Manager informed about significant operating matters, problem areas, achievements, and other important issues.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and Executive Chef to develop operating budgets for each F&B department revenue outlet. After approval, monitor and take corrective action as necessary to attain budget goals.
• Maintain beverage controls to ensure that items handled within the HHCC policies.
• Oversee revenue goals and ensure that all departments are meeting goals set by the General Manager.

Supervises

Bartenders, Servers, Event Coordinator, Catering Sales Manager, Kid’s Club associates and seasonal staff for the Snack Shack/Pool Bar

Schedule

• Wednesday-Sunday 1pm-Close
• Monday -Tuesday - OFF

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
