Overview
As a Park Ranger, you will play a vital role in preserving and protecting natural resources while ensuring the safety and enjoyment of park visitors. This position requires a passion for the outdoors, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You will engage with the public, enforce park regulations, and contribute to the maintenance and improvement of park landscapes.
Duties
- Provide excellent customer service to our guests
- Enforce rules and regulations
- Managing daily operations with little or no supervision
- Mowing, weed eating, bathroom cleaning, trash pickup, other tasks as needed
- Routine safety inspections of assigned areas
- Cleaning/Washing Vehicles
- On call duty shifts
- Outside for long periods of times, ability to cope with bugs
- Communicates effectively through written and oral communication
NON-PERMANENT position –until you decide to leave or are terminated for viable reason. No paid leave, but flexible on requested time-off. Insurance and retirement are optional.
Pay starts at $11/hr. 40hrs per week.
Pay on the 1st and 16th – one month before first check
Rotating shifts –
- A Shift: 6-2
- B Shift: 2-10 or 11-7
- B2 (seasonal): 1–9
- C Shift: 9-5
Requirements:
- On site housing (Barracks style)
- Valid driver’s license
- Uniform compliance
- Weekends
- Holidays
- Standing in all types of weather conditions
- Lifting 50Ibs
- Teamwork – park rangers are required to know a LITTLE about A LOT
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
