Responsibilities:
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Evaluates safety, designs, and tests explosive devices and materials, communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical individuals.
- Typically owns two or more technically challenging projects that require project owners with expertise in product and process applications, explosive knowledge, safety, testing, troubleshooting, and proven project execution.
- Collaborates with customers, peers, and experienced engineers to research problem definitions, overall needs, and existing solutions.
- Leverages evaluation of design concepts, risks, safety, and test plans, contributing to business analysis of projects.
- Overcomes obstacles without requiring escalation to higher levels.
- Demonstrates strong business ethics and good interpersonal skills.
- Advocates for explosive and process safety, with proficiency in HSE, regulatory compliance, and quality systems.
- Provides advanced guidance on explosive design principles for major product lines and trains less experienced engineers and technicians.
- Offers engineering support to HSE, Quality, Compliance, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain, and other business units as needed.
- Maintains a culture of Safety and Quality while performing daily tasks.
- Follows federal, state, local, and company rules and regulations for hazardous material handling, transportation, storage, and use.
- Continuously assesses safety implications before taking action.
- Complies with HSE and quality policies and procedures and reports non-conformances.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Education and Training
- Bachelor's degree, four (4) years, in Engineering, Science, or equivalent field.
- General Requirements
- Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in a similar field.
- Technical Requirements / Skills
- Knowledgeable in OSHA safety regulations, ATF & DOT explosives, transportation, storage, and documentation requirements.
- Safe procedures for arming explosive devices and relevant API RP-67 sections.
- Perforating gun assembly operating procedures and explosive safety.
- Precise measurements using micrometers, calipers, and weight scales.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Word and Excel) and Solidworks.
- Operating procedures, safety procedures, and test procedures reading, writing, and understanding.
- Observant and detail-oriented.
- Good communication skills.
- Neat, comprehensive reports creation.
- Self-motivation and minimal supervision ability.
- Valid driver's license and compliant Hazmat training.
- Meets ATF and regulatory security requirements.
- US citizen or lawful permanent resident.
