This position will operate as the primary coordinator for production planning through generation of part numbers, shop routings and production orders based on engineering, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Generate part numbers, routings, and bills of material based on engineering requirements for raw materials as well as finished parts.
- Create shop orders using engineering specifications, and customer requirements.
- Interact with project management, manufacturing, and engineering to ensure project requirements for schedule and quality are met.
- Track and expedite project materials through the manufacturing process.
- Review work in process material sweeps from production floor.
- Ability to work on multiple projects, create routings and bill of material with minimal assistance
- Attend customer progress meetings as needed
- Review inventory requirements for assigned project
- Required: High school diploma.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering or another related field.
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Windows Applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook 2000 preferred
- Ability to interpret machine and weld drawings as well as material specifications and bills of material
- Strong organization skills, able to manage priorities and workflow
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Ability to read blueprints and industry specifications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Must be able to recognize and be discreet with sensitive business-related materials.
- Must be able to work with people to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Must be able to read, understand, learn and follow written and verbal safety, quality and work instructions.
- Must possess technical aptitude, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in the office performing work on a computer. Employee will be required to walk and be on the manufacturing floor.

- This position will require working primarily indoors in a smoke-free office and manufacturing facility but may also require the employee to be outdoors on occasion.
- Limited travel will be required to support offsite personnel and business projects.
