Role Summary:
In this role, you’ll be the key player in delivering early intervention services to children aged 0-3. Success in this position looks like developing strong, collaborative relationships with families to create tailored, effective treatment plans that empower each child to reach their full potential. Your work will directly contribute to our overarching goal of enhancing the lives of those with special needs in Huntingdon County.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to assess individual needs.
🔹 Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on the child’s strengths.
🔹 Use family-centered, routine-based coaching practices to deliver therapy in the child’s home.
🔹 Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
🔹 Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including session notes and progress reports.
🔹 Provide families with education on child development and community resources.
🔹 Complete 24 hours of annual mandated Early Intervention training to stay current with best practices.
Qualifications:
🔸 Skills: Strong analytical abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
🔸 Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
🔸 Experience: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
🔸 Certifications: Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist Licensure, Child Abuse Clearance, and Criminal Background Clearance.
