II. Job Statement
This position exists to assist the Elections Coordinator with all aspects of the
Election process and maintaining the Voter Registration system
III. Job Duties/Responsibilities
1. Voter Registration Records
- Process Applications
- Maintain Accurate and Up-To-Date Records
2. Mail-In and Absentee Voting
- Inventory and Order Balloting Materials
- Assist with In-Person Voting at the Bailey Building
- Process, Organize, and File Applications
- Prepare and Mail Ballots
- Sort, Organize and Secure Returned Ballots
3. Ballot Preparation
- Order Petitions and Prepare Petition Packets for Candidates
- Review, Approve, File and Organize Petitions
4. Election Day Equipment and Supplies
- Assist with Logic and Accuracy Testing on All Equipment for Each Election
- Inventory and Order Election Day Supplies
- Pack Supply Boxes
- Coordinate Equipment Delivery to Polling Places
5. Review and maintain files of candidate expense statements.
6. Maintain all Election and Voter Registration Files in Accordance with
State and Federal Law
7. Assist with general office duties.
8. Answer phones, process mail and assist public when needed.
IV. Job Specifications
A. Education - High school diploma or equivalent required.
B. Experience – Office experience preferred.
C. General Requirements
Elections Coordinator – 2
Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Good working knowledge of office terminology, Microsoft office programs, computers and telephone systems.
Good knowledge of business arithmetic and English grammar.
Ability to speak and write English effectively.
Ability to type from clear copy or rough draft at a reasonable rate of speed.
Ability to understand and follow simple oral and/or written instructions.
Ability to communicate in an appropriate manner and get along well with others.
Ability to understand and follow complex oral and/or written instructions.
Ability to make major decisions using good judgment and acting in accordance with established policies and procedures.
