What are the responsibilities and job description for the Body Shop Painter Helper position at Huntington Beach Chrysler Jeep?
Surf City Collision Center in Huntington Beach is currently seeking a highly motivated experienced full time body shop painter's helper for our high-volume, fast-growing Body Shop.
Job Duties include but not limited to:
- Complete all paint preparation processes for vehicles according to factory specification including the direction of the mentoring Paint Technician and by following the written repair order
- Keep Management updated on the status of assigned vehicles and assisting in problem solving to keep all vehicles on schedule for on-time delivery
- Adhere to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal
- maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Utilize air sanders, spray guns, sanding blocks, etc. in order to complete quality work
- Review estimate to ensure all operations listed have been completed and verify the panel/parts to be painted
- Verify repaired areas are finished to company standards
- Identify all areas of the repair that may require additional corrosion protection
- Ensure that all paint operations are complete, all masking is removed, and all prior paint-related disassembly has been reassembled prior to returning the vehicle to the body technician
Requirements:
- Must have 4 years of experience.
- Must have a valid CA driver license.
- Must be able to work multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Follow all safety requirements.
- Must be able to pass the pre-employment background, drug test and physical exam.
