What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Officer-Community Corrections position at Huntington County Government?
Huntington County Community Corrections Department has an opening for a full time Field Officer
A successful candidate will be responsible for working with offenders by providing daily monitoring of compliance of program rules. Will be responsible for documenting all violations, conducting interviews, entering data, testifying in court, and maintaining accurate records.
A successful candidate will hold a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, but a Baccalaureate Degree in criminal justice or law enforcement is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to efficiently process information and utilize problem-solving skills are also required. In addition, time management skills are essential. A successful candidate must have the ability to manage a large caseload and meet deadlines, as well as work with a diverse group of people.
Individual must be flexible to work hours outside of business hours (8a-4:30p M-F) and possibly weekends.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $22.39 per hour
