Salary Range: Anticipated Base compensation rate is in the range of $74,880.00 - $89,860.00 / Year depending on qualifications and experience.


This is a hybrid position and requires submission of a cover letter.


Expectations:

Reporting to the Senior Director, Donor Engagement and Communications, the Annual Fund Manager will create and execute a plan for the Huntington Annual Fund that supports strategies to grow the base of annual donors under $2,000 and generate unrestricted revenue. The Annual Fund Manager will play a key role in soliciting both current and prospective donors, with emphasis on planning and executing a multi-channel direct response fundraising program. This role requires exceptional organizational and time management skills, demonstrated ability to create and edit written content across deliverables, and comfortability with annual giving best practice and metrics to guide revenue, participation, and engagement strategies. The successful candidate must be an amiable collaborator able to work independently and prioritize in a quickly changing environment.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree required.


EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:


Minimum 5 years annual giving experience in a non-profit healthcare or higher education setting, with proven experience managing and executing a comprehensive direct response fundraising program. Demonstrated success in philanthropy-related project management required. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet varying deadlines with limited supervision. Excellent written communication skills. Hands-on experience with donor database software (Raiser’s Edge) preferred.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • As a key member of the Donor Engagement team, the Annual Fund Manager will be responsible for meeting annual giving fundraising targets by developing and executing a comprehensive solicitation, stewardship, and communications plan each fiscal year for annual fund donors under $2,000 designed to increase participation among grateful patients, community members, volunteers, and employees.
  • Responsible for developing an annual stewardship plan and creating materials driven by annual giving metrics to improve retention and foster upgrades for behaviors such as loyalty giving, first time gifts, and monthly supporters. Produce materials and manage touches that demonstrate impact and acknowledge giving, including impact reports, appreciation videos, welcome packets, acknowledgment letters, thank you emails or calls, etc.
  • Reporting to the Sr. Dir Donor Engagement and Communications, provide project management and editorial support, including content creation, for the year-round Huntington Annual Fund direct response program consisting of over 20 mail appeals that generate $2M in annual revenue.
  • Incorporate the use of digital strategies in the annual giving program to engage donors online, in social media, and by email, including email solicitations, social media posts, and content for the philanthropy website.
  • Responsible for planning and executing a Grateful Patient and new donor acquisition program tasked with growing the number of new donors in the annual fund base. This role will include the oversight of the Grateful Hearts honor a caregiver tribute program as a tool to engage new donors and the development of Giving Days.
  • Direct the employee giving campaign, I am Huntington, during open enrollment; serve as key contact for the campaign in office of philanthropy and the liaison between philanthropy and HR/payroll.
  • Oversee the monthly sustainers recurring giving program, including upgrade appeals and stewardship touches.
  • Responsible for requesting and managing complex data requests from Development Services needed to create mailings and reports.


Responsible for drafting an annual fund development plan along with annual giving goals each fiscal year. Ability to provide ongoing monthly analysis of fundraising progress to-date, including proactively producing reports on progress towards goals. Responsible for staying abreast of trends in non-profit fundraising, and annual giving in particular, to ensure Huntington Hospital is using best practices. Required to attend at least two professional development opportunities in annual giving each year.
