All-Domain Operations (ADO) is a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division, responsible for multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations. HII designs, develops, integrates and manages the sensors, systems and other assets necessary to support integrated ISR operations and accelerated decision-making. We are seeking an experienced Engineer with aircraft experience to support our customer at Hurlburt Field, FL. This role will provide professional support services in support of the Air Force Unmanned Systems Branch located at Hurlburt Field AFB, FL.
- This individual will work closely with government and contractor personnel to develop, review, and implement policies and procedures related to airworthiness of unmanned aircraft systems.
- The engineer will assist with reviewing and developing policy documents, such as Airworthiness Safety Releases (ASRs) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Certificates of Waiver or Authorization (COAs).
- Maintain the Airworthiness Safety Release (ASR) program in support of UAS statements of airworthiness for UAS Groups 1, 2, & 3 systems.
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- At least 6 years of experience as Airworthiness Engineer with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
- Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education OR have associate's degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 8 years of related experience, for a total of 10 years, as a substitute to the bachelor's degree.
- Working knowledge of the FAA and Air Force airworthiness/certification process and procedures.
Additionally, you must possess a DOD Top Secret (TS) clearance.
