HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Business Development to drive strategic growth within the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force market.
The successful candidate will lead long-term strategic campaigns to achieve growth objectives, focusing on targeted customers within the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force. This role requires a deep understanding of defense budget line items, acquisition processes, key influencers, technology trends, and spending forecasts to identify, qualify, and capture specific opportunities.
What you will do
- Develop and implement long-term strategic business development campaigns targeting U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force customers.
- Conduct thorough opportunity assessments, including business case analysis and competitive positioning.
- Prepare and present qualification / interest and pursuit decision recommendations for review at the Mission Technologies executive level.
- Serve as the primary HII representative to assigned U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force customers.
- Collaborate with Mission Technologies’ subject matter experts to prepare and deliver white papers and presentations.
- Contribute to Mission Technologies’ strategic planning by providing market insights.
- Work with HII Corporate Government and Customer Relations to support congressional and DoD engagements.
- Deliver high-quality presentations of market and opportunity assessments to HII’s CEO and Board of Directors as needed.
