Biology Tutor – Huntington Learning Center
We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Biology Tutor to join our team at Huntington Learning Center. This role involves working with high school and college students in 1-on-1 and small group settings to support success in biology courses and standardized exams.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tutoring in high school biology, including general biology, honors, and AP-level content
- Support students with test preparation, including ACT Science and other relevant exams
- Customize instruction based on individual student needs and curriculum
- Track and report student progress using HLC systems
- Maintain a supportive, encouraging, and focused learning environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology or a related field
- Strong knowledge of biology topics, including cell biology, genetics, ecology, and physiology
- Teaching or tutoring experience preferred
- Clear communication skills and ability to connect with students
Schedule: Flexible part-time hours; after-school and weekend availability preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week
