Daytime Tutor (Offsite Teaching)

Huntington Learning Center Fishers is urgently seeking positive and passionate tutors to join our dynamic off-site teaching team at elementary and middle schools in the East Chicago area. This position is for ELA(English Language Arts) and Math instruction. This is an in-person position at the school during the school day. This is NOT a remote position. You will be employed by Huntington Learning Center Fishers.

Position Details :

  • Part-Time : Hours vary Monday through Friday, from 8 : 00 am - 4 : 00 pm.
  • Duration : November 2024 to March 2025, with potential for continuation during the 2025-2026 school year.
  • Location : East Chicago.
  • Grade Levels : 4-8.

Education / Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Prior teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
  • A teaching certificate is preferred, but not required.

    • Compensation :

  • With a Bachelor's Degree : $25.00 per hour.
  • With Valid Teaching Certification : $30 per hour.
  • Lead Teacher with Certification : $40.00 per hour.
  • Bi-lingual Teacher (English / Spanish) : $30.00 per hour.

    • Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Work with the Lead Teacher and Program Director to implement instructional programs.
  • Utilize Huntington Learning Center’s instructional procedures and curriculum.
  • Administer baseline tests at established intervals.
  • Maintain student records of attendance and progress.
  • Follow school policies and procedures; supervise students at all times.

  • Possesses computer operating knowledge.
  • Clear pre-employment checks and employment eligibility.
