Job Description :
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
- Exhibit understanding of growth and development principles across the life span.
- Assess resident's physical and psychosocial conditions on an ongoing basis, communicating findings to the RN and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Contribute to the development of an age-appropriate and culturally relevant care plan that reflects nursing diagnosis and interventions, promoting a healthy and safe environment.
- Recommend and revise care plans based on resident outcomes and necessary referrals, ensuring comprehensive resident care.
- Collaborate with residents / families and the interdisciplinary team, ensuring satisfaction and aligning with nursing practice standards.
- Maintain current knowledge and competency through ongoing education and in-service programs.
- Participate in the mentoring and orientation of staff.
- Consider safety, cost, and impact in planning and delivery of care, providing leadership under RN direction in the professional practice setting.
- Demonstrate competence, with tasks potentially involving contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
