The Director of Institutional Asset Management & Trust is responsible for defining and leading the implementation of a comprehensive strategy for delivering asset management and trust administration services to institutions.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Leading a team of professionals to understand an institutional client’s investment management goals and trust service needs to construct tailored solutions unique to their organization.
- Partnering on new business acquisition and retaining/deepening existing relationships.
- Develop an Outsourced Chief Investment Officer solution to address the complex portfolio and risk management challenges of an institutional investment fiduciary.
- Partnering with Huntington’s liquidity and fixed income teams in Capital Markets and Private Bank to develop solutions for investment portfolio risk optimization, total return, and liquidity management.
- Being the face of the Huntington Institutional Asset Management brand to external and internal centers of influence.
- Ensuring services are delivered effectively and consistently across geographies.
- Collaborating with Wealth Management leaders to develop products, strategies, and actionable tactics to grow the business.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Over 10 years of experience working with institutional clients, including but not limited to corporations, nonprofits (endowments and foundations), insurance companies, healthcare organizations, and Native American tribes.
- College degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Senior level wealth management leadership experience
- Familiarity with Specialty Trust business lines and services, including Pooled Trusts, Reinsurance Trusts, Special Needs Trusts, Pre-Need and Perpetual Care Trusts.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Effective sales skills with proven organic growth track record.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, matrix management, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Travel required.
