What are the responsibilities and job description for the CSO Analyst position at Huntington Sanitary Board?
Essential Functions
1. Performs inspections of CSO outfalls
2. Performs CSO sampling, and stream sampling
3. Educates civic groups and public to fulfill program requirements
4. Maintain records of CSO activities
5. Conduct onsite inspections
6. Evaluate program data for effectiveness
7. Responsible for meeting all state and federal regulatory requirements
8. Promotes courtesy and professionalism throughout the City of Huntington

Competencies
1. Basic computer skills
2. Knowledge of various environmental sampling techniques
3. Knowledge of EPA regulations 40 CFR and WV DEP regulations
4. Ability to assess validity of reports

7. Ability to communicate effectively with team members, industrial contacts and public
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Work Environment
Work is performed in various locations. Exposure to all types of weather conditions including extreme heat and cold. Employee is frequently exposed to raw sewage, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Physical Demands

The employee is frequently required to drive, walk, stand, bend; talk, hear touch and smell. The employee is regularly required climb, sit, squat, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Schedule
This is a full-time position. Must be available for 24-hour callout. Participates in Emergency Response System.
Travel
Frequent travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental science, biology or chemistry

Valid driver’s license
