The Education Department has an opening for an Assistant Professor of Education.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to, teaching a variety of courses within the Teacher Education Preparation Program, supervising clinical placements within local school districts, advising departmental students, and participating as a faculty member of Huntington University’s Teacher Education Preparation Program.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a strong personal Christian commitment and faith in Jesus Christ and a desire to serve others.
- Must be committed to the mission of Huntington University as a comprehensive Christian College dedicated to educating men and women to impact our world for Christ.
- PhD or EdD preferred, master’s degree in education required.
- Classroom teaching experience in k-12 public school system(s) required.
- Hold a current teaching license.
- Energetic, student-centered, creative, effective mentor for students.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to problem-solve.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others in a variety of settings.
- Commitment to continuous program improvement.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work and plan independently
