Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, an international law firm, is actively recruiting a Practice Development Assistant. This position is supports the business development initiatives and activities of the Administrative Law Group. Responsible for providing administrative support to the Senior Team Manager, Team Heads, Group attorneys, and members of the Marketing and Client Development Team, including assistance in connection with drafting and updating content for the team’s various marketing initiatives, client pitches, firm website practice descriptions, email campaigns, brochures, experience lists and case studies. Assists with coordinating and producing responses to client requests for proposals for legal services, assists with development of presentation materials, maintains and updates bios and practice-specific marketing materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.Provides administrative support in the development and implementation of ALG’s strategic business plan.
2. Consults with attorneys to identify individual and practice group business objectives.
3.Performs basic research and data collection on clients and prospective clients.
4. Assists in developing, drafting, and compiling client and prospective client-related pitch materials, proposals, communications, and presentations for attorney review. Documents and maintains proposal-related information for future reference. Assists in coordinating RFP processes for ALG led proposal opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
- Experience: Experience in a professional services office or other legal support experience preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
- Other Qualifications: Exceptional written and verbal communication and listening skills. Accurate typing, word processing skills and ability to pay strict attention to detail. Spelling, punctuation and use of grammar must be of high quality. Must have strong organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions. Visual acuity needed for transcription, extensive reading and input (typing) of information into computer. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through both written and oral communication. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory. Ability to maintain flexibility regarding work assignments to work overtime on short notice required. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must possess the abilities or aptitudes to proficiently perform each of the responsibilities and accountabilities described above, with or without reasonable accommodation.
The expected salary range for New York based employees is $59,900 to $83,900, though salaries for employees based outside of New York may differ. Beyond an employment candidate’s physical location, salary offers may be based on a number of factors, including but not limited to, education, training, and/or experience.
