Landscape Production Manager
Position Overview:
The Landscape Production Manager oversees the daily operations of landscape installation and maintenance projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality workmanship, and efficient resource utilization. This role requires excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage crews, coordinate with clients, and ensure projects align with company standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Plan, organize, and supervise landscape installation and maintenance projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and timelines to prepare for efficient execution.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor field staff, including crew leaders and technicians.
- Schedule and assign work to crews, ensuring proper allocation of resources.
- Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets company standards and client expectations.
- Address and resolve any issues or deficiencies promptly.
- Client Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution.
- Provide updates, address concerns, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Resource Management:
- Coordinate equipment, materials, and labor for projects.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of materials.
- Safety Compliance:
- Enforce adherence to company and OSHA safety standards.
- Conduct safety training and regular site audits to ensure a safe work environment.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, labor hours, and material usage.
- Prepare reports for management on project performance and resource utilization.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in landscape management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of landscape construction, horticulture, and maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Preferred (Not Expected) Certifications:
- NCMA Certified Segmental Retaining Wall Installer.
- ICPI Certified Paver Installer.
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification or equivalent safety training.
- Irrigation and/or pesticide licensing (state-specific).
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
- Occasional weekend or evening work to meet project deadlines.
