What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Marketing Associate (Part-Time) position at Huntsville City FC?
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The role will primarily involve coordinating grassroots events (i.e. watch parties, community initiatives, etc.) while also overseeing the creation and planning of merchandise displays. Additionally, the position will offer the opportunity to contribute to the design process for graphics, social media, and apparel as needed. This person will be integral to the growth of the brand by interacting with potential and existing fans, providing information and collateral as well as supporting merchandise efforts. This motivated individual will also execute interactive contests and giveaways. Other opportunities within sponsorship, team-related activities, marketing, and public relations may also exist as a part of this program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create graphics and promotional material to be used on- but not limited to- retail promotions, social media, and grass roots marketing initiatives
- Play a role in the design of incoming merchandise and store displays
- Create a monthly marketing plan to be executed by Retail and Street Team Associates
- Assist in scheduling and oversight of Retail and Street Team Associates
- Drive results through effective communication and a demonstrated ability to work as member of a winning team
- Must be available to work a part-time schedule that will include days, nights, and weekends
- Make recommendations for merchandise and events based on observations and conversions with fans
- Help execute a brand connection by ensuring fans enjoy a top-notch shopping experience
- Have a working knowledge of U.S. and international soccer, team promotions and current ticket programs (training will be provided)
- Facilitate activation at events, while providing superb customer service and displaying excitement about the organization
- Available to work all Huntsville City FC match days
- Must commit to the Huntsville City Street Team schedule which includes but is not limited to at least two (2) appearances per month
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to sit, reach, bend and move about the facility as needed
- Standing for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Game Day scheduling may have exposure to various weather elements (rainy, windy, cold, high temperatures)
Qualifications
- Proficient knowledge of various graphic design software
- Minimum 18 years of age, high school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work extended hours on game days and during events
- Possess a fun, professional demeanor
- Demonstrated ability to build product knowledge of Team/League inventory
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team in fast paced environments, servicing a diverse fan base
- Ability to maintain high standards of organization and cleanliness
- Experience in retail or other consumer-facing industries preferred
- Must have transportation, a good driving record and valid driver’s license
