What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC MECHANIC 2 - PLANT OPS - FT - 1ST SHIFT position at Huntsville Hospital Health System?
Overview :
Inspect, report malfunctions, and make repairs to HVAC equipment and related systems.
Qualifications :
Education : HS / GED preferred. Technical training in preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment and related systems required.
License, Certification and / or Registration : Must have a valid drivers license and maintain a safe driving record.
Experience : Six years experience or comparable combination of education and experience in HVAC maintenance required.
Additional Skills / Abilities :
- Ability to perform repairs and maintenance on HVAC equipment with assorted hand and power tools.
- Ability to read manuals, schematics, and diagrams, with a basic understanding of blueprints.
- Ability to reason and troubleshoot problems in a logical, systematic manner.
- Ability to maintain and complete written records, logs, requisitions and work orders.
- Posses a basic understanding of applicable codes and ordinances.
- Knowledge of general safety rules.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures.
