What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Physicist - Radiation Safety - FT - 1st shift position at Huntsville Hospital System?
Overview
This position is for a medical physicist who will focus on MRI performance evaluation, quality assurance and MRI Safety across the Huntsville Hospital System. The MRI physicist will serve as the Magnetic Resonance Safety Expert (MRSE) and will assist the MRSO and MRMD when they need assistance or otherwise are unable to answer MR safety questions or situations. Responsibilities for performance evaluation and quality control programs in all modalities will be shared with the rest of the team.
Qualifications
Education: Master of Science degree in Physics or Medical Physics is required.
License, Certification and/or Registration: Certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Diagnostic Medical Physics or the American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) in Magnetic Resonance Imaging Physics is required. MRSE certification is preferred
Experience: Experience as MRSO/MRSE is preferred.
