Hunziker Construction Services is seeking a self-motivated individual who is ready to make a difference in the lives of our customers as a Part-Time Leasing Agent. The Leasing Agent will assist with two premier properties consisting of 417 units located in Ames, Iowa.
The schedule for this position will be Monday - Friday with a range of 20-25 hours a week (additional hours and Saturday hours required when applicable).
Position Summary:
The Leasing Agent is responsible for assisting the Property Manager in maintaining all aspects of property operations, with the primary focus on assisting the Property Manager in the leasing, marketing, and resident relations. The Leasing Agent strives for 100% occupancy through retention of existing residents, leasing current availability and pre-leasing of future availability.
Essential Functions:
Perform customer service-related assignments at the property such as but not limited to:
- Answer all calls and emails– residents and leads
- Welcome potential residents and determine prospects needs
- Give prospects tour of the property and model apartments (including units with animals)
- Close as many leads as possible by collecting an application, collecting a security deposit, and processing the application
- Work with the leasing team and property manager to efficiently achieve the community goal of 100% occupancy
- Efficiently and effectively use Appfolio to manage leads and residents
- Conduct pre-leasing requirements such as Market Studies, Pre-Inspections and Marketing of unit availability
- Assist Property Manager with day-to-day tasks of all property operations
Experience Required:
2 years of sales experience preferred, in a similar setting preferred. Must be detail oriented, strong computer skills, have the ability to communicate well with all levels within and outside the organization, and be able to problem-solve with employees and residents. Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
