Shipping Lead

Huot is seeking a full time Shipping Lead, reporting to the Distribution Supervisor, with hours of 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities Include:

• Direct and coordinate the day-to-day workflow of the shipping team
• Maintains warehouse finished goods inventory, assists in performing daily and cycle inventory transactions
• Contact person for off-site department supervisor, work with supervisor to facilitate shipping procedures, and policies.
• Shipping of small pack and LTL orders, process shipping paperwork including bills of lading, picklists, and commercial paperwork
• Assists in training of shipping department staff
• Assemble, heat shrink, and box product to get ready to ship
• Must be cross trained in UPS, FedEx, and LTL shipments
• Backup for forklift driver when needed
• Willingness to work in a team with warehouse and production staff

Minimum Qualifications:

• Computer skills – experience with an ERP system and shipping software
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds
• Excellent reading and math skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years’ experience in a shipping coordinator or lead role
• 3 years’ experience in small pack and LTL shipments
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
• Ability to pass a forklift driving test
• A pre-employment drug screen is required upon hire.

Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, location and internal equity considerations. The salary range for this position is $24.00 - $26.75. This range reflects the base salary for this position.
