Role Overview:

We’re seeking a passionate Events Manager Intern with a love for basketball and an interest in event planning, community building, and experiential marketing. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to curate unique basketball-themed experiences while supporting HUPR’s mission to connect the basketball community. Ideal for those looking to gain experience in event management, sports marketing, and community engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Event Planning: Assist in the design, coordination, and execution of HUPR events, including tournaments, networking mixers, and community activations.
• Community Engagement: Partner with local basketball communities, leagues, and influencers to drive participation and engagement in events.
• Marketing Support: Collaborate on promotional strategies, create social media campaigns, and develop event materials to boost visibility and attendance.
• Logistics Management: Handle event logistics such as scheduling, vendor communication, and on-site setup.
• Sponsorship Coordination: Work with the team to identify, pitch, and secure event sponsors, as well as manage sponsor activations during events.
• Post-Event Analysis: Collect attendee feedback, analyze event performance, and suggest improvements for future events.

Requirements:

• Passion for Basketball: A genuine interest in the sport and the basketball community.
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Event Experience (Preferred): Previous experience in planning or managing events is a plus.
• Marketing Knowledge (Bonus): Familiarity with social media marketing, event promotion, or sponsorship outreach is a bonus.
• Team Player: Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to contribute to HUPR’s mission.
