Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Represent clients in worker compensation cases
- Investigate case facts and developing damages evidence
- Analyze the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge
- Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
- Negotiate settlements
- Prepare and attend depositions, mediations, and/or hearings
- Interpret laws, rulings and regulations related to the case
- Examine legal data to determine advisability of lawsuit
- Prepare legal documentation, briefs and opinions, and file appeals
- Maintaining communication and positive relationships with clients, opposing attorneys, court personnel and insurance representatives
- Maintain a positive working relationship with the internal team to accomplish the law firm’s goals and exceed client expectations.
