Lumber Yard Worker

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency of our operations within the warehouse and distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks that support the loading, unloading, and handling of materials, ensuring that all goods are processed accurately and safely.

Duties

• Perform heavy lifting and material handling tasks to support warehouse operations.
• Assist in order picking, ensuring that items are accurately selected for shipment.
• Manage shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts to load and unload materials safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized yard area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Follow OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.

Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and materials handling best practices.
• Experience with order picking, shipping, receiving, and forklifts is a must.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $8.50 - $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
