Job Summary
The Correctional Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining safety and security within correctional facilities. Duties
- Supervise inmate activities and ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility, including monitoring CCTV systems to detect any suspicious behavior.
- Respond to emergencies, including medical situations, using First Aid and CPR as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on inmate behavior, incidents, and daily activities.
- Engage in conflict management to de-escalate potentially volatile situations among inmates.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed to ensure the safety of the facility.
- Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance skills in areas such as report writing and emergency response.
Requirements
- Certification in law enforcement or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of First Aid and CPR techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with CCTV operations and monitoring is a plus.
- Experience or training in militarized environments is beneficial.
- Strong report writing skills are required for documenting incidents accurately.
- Excellent conflict management abilities to handle challenging situations effectively.
- Must be able to pass background checks and meet physical fitness standards as required by the facility.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.95 - $29.37 per hour
