Statement of Purpose:
Provides patient services using imaging modalities including radiography, nuclear medicine, diagnostic ultrasound, and CT. Administers roentgen rays and radioactive substances to patients; operates X-ray equipment; processes images; prepares examination room, equipment, supplies, and medications.

Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and additional training in Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, and CT as necessary. Must be ARRT registered. Cross training to other modalities.
- Physical stamina requisite to move and manipulate the equipment used in the several modalities.
- Physical stamina requisite to standing, walking, stooping, pulling, pushing, pulling, reaching, and lifting while transporting patients and in the examination room.
- Visual, auditory and speech acuity requisite to verbal and written communication with patients, families, physicians and other persons involved with the patient's care.
Working Conditions:
- Work involves working with patients in all degrees of chronic and acute illness, and in dealing with their families.
- Work is intermittently light (exerting/lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, or a negligible amount constantly) to heavy (exerting/lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently and 20 pounds constantly) and is performed in a variety of settings within the hospital in a climate controlled environment.
- Work involves possible exposure to radiation. Personal safety requires adherence to protective radiation safety techniques.
- Work may be repetitious.
