We were founded in Lincoln, Nebraska as a small team of two in 2010, offering social media services to brands and athletes. After a decade of growth later we have grown to be a uniquely well-rounded marketing and advertising agency with in-house media, sports, entertainment, and film divisions.
Mergers and acquisitions over the years (with B2 Interactive, Disconnected Media, Victory Fighting Championship, Hail Varsity, and Parkville Media) have grown our team to over 150 people.
We serve over 200 clients who collectively operate in 8 countries, including 43 states in the United States. Our clients range from local businesses just starting to build their brand and online presence to enterprise organizations.
About the role: We are seeking a meticulous and organized Digital Asset Coordinator to take charge of our media asset library. This role is essential in ensuring that our vast collection of photo, video, and audio assets is well-organized, properly labeled, and easily accessible to our creative and production teams. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of digital asset management (DAM) systems. This position reports directly to our Hurrdat Media Director.
Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Asset Organization: Develop and implement a comprehensive system for organizing media assets, including photos, videos, and audio files. Ensure all assets are properly labeled, tagged, and categorized according to project, date, content type, and other relevant criteria.
- Library Management: Maintain the company’s media asset library, regularly updating and archiving files as necessary. Ensure that all media assets are stored in a structured and efficient manner, making them easily accessible to the team.
- Accessibility & Distribution: Work closely with the creative, marketing, and production teams to ensure that all media assets are easily accessible for use in various projects. Provide guidance and support in locating specific assets and managing file distribution.
- Metadata Management: Oversee the creation and maintenance of metadata for all media assets, ensuring that each file is accurately described and searchable within the asset management system.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular audits of the media library to ensure that all assets are up-to-date, high-quality, and free of duplicates or errors. Address any issues with file integrity, resolution, or format as needed.
- System Optimization: Continuously improve the organization and functionality of the digital asset management system. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance the user experience for the creative team.
- Backup & Security: Implement and manage backup protocols to ensure the safety and longevity of media assets. Monitor and enforce security measures to protect sensitive and proprietary content.
- Collaboration: Liaise with photographers, videographers, audio engineers, and other content creators to manage the ingestion of new assets into the library. Provide training and support to team members on best practices for asset management.
- Compliance: Ensure all media assets comply with copyright laws, licensing agreements, and industry regulations. Track and manage licenses, permissions, and usage rights associated with media files.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Media Management, Library Science, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in content or digital asset management, preferably within the sports or entertainment industry.
- Proficiency in digital asset management (DAM) systems and media editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of metadata standards and best practices for media asset management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of current trends in media production, digital content, and social media platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in managing large-scale media libraries for a creative or production company.
- Familiarity with cloud-based storage solutions and file-sharing platforms.
- Knowledge of sports and entertainment media content.
