Job Summary:
The Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group (A/DACG) Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the A/DACG and Air Deployment Node Support on Fort Bragg and AR 5-9 Area of Responsibility and the associated logistics analysis and management functions in support of the Fort Bragg, Installation Transportation Division (ITD) mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the conduct and recurring reporting of mobility operations in accordance with Defense Transportation Regulation 4500.9-R, Part III.
- Coordinates and conducts operations of the Arrival/ Departure Airfield Control Group (A/DACG) functions in accordance with governing FORSCOM Regulation 55-1, Unit Movement Planning, AR 525-93, Army Deployment and Redeployment, and other applicable regulations, publications and current standard operating procedures.
- Ensures all movements at the airfield meet the time-lines established by the supporting Air Wing and other Air Mobility Command agencies or as directed by the appointed Government representatives.
- Coordinates all actions and planning processes required for air movements as they pertain to air movement operations.
- Provide Logistics support for personnel and materiel movement to and from Aerial Port of Embarkation / Debarkation (APOE / APOD); movement and loading of baggage and materiel; assist in loading and unloading of aircraft; support pallet reconfiguration, and other support as specified.
- Provides support for an alert holding area, a call forward area (CFA), and ammunition holding area (AHA) in preparation and execution of military movements as specified in planning documents.
- Coordinates transportation support as part of its special procedures for charter aircraft, weigh personnel and baggage prior to aircraft loading and submit the original weight tickets to the air carrier representative.
- Responsible for operation, management, coordination, and providing support for the Air Deployment/Redeployment Center Operations for departing and arriving flights both military and commercial and for events and activities.
- Maintains customer interface and satisfaction with designated contract representatives.
- Planning, organizing, and execution of work performance/execution.
- Translation of mission goals and objectives into work assignments.
- Development and maintenance of innovative processes, and quality management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Five (5) years of documented supervisory experience in a transportation related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in the areas of personal property, unit movement, materiel movement, and transportation motor pool operations.
- Provide support for an alert holding area, a call forward area (CFA), and ammunition holding area (AHA) in preparation and execution of movements as specified.
- Strong organizational, analytical, written and oral communication skills to conduct meetings, evaluate plans, and prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.
- Ability to translate goals into work assignments, strong problem-solving skills.
- Personnel management skills, supervisory experience.
- A general knowledge of the logistics information policies processes, and systems that pertaining to Maintenance, Supply and Services, and Transportation Services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and Microsoft Project.
- SECRET clearance at the time of employment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Applicable Transportation Services regulations, publications, and manuals.
- Operational skill and knowledge of the Logistics Information Systems (LIS) utilized.
- Property Accountability experience preferred.
- HAZMAT Familiarization and Safety in Transportation Training.
- Environmental Compliance Training.
- Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements.
Working Conditions:
- Function in an office environment in a stationary position approximately 35 percent of the time.
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, copy machine, and printer.
- May work in inclement weather, extreme heat, and cold, high/low humidity, blowing sand and dust, and working in confined spaces and at heights.
