What are the responsibilities and job description for the Movement Control Center (MCC) Material Coordinator position at Hurricane Consulting Inc?
The Movement Control Center (MCC) Material Coordinator IAW all applicable regulations, provides In-transit Visibility (ITV) via the AFSBn-Liberty/Installation Transportation Division SharePoint for all personnel and equipment transiting the various operational nodes during Deployment and Redeployment to CONUS or OCONUS locations. Collects, consolidates, and disseminates node status information in a snapshot format for Installation Planners, Commanders, and Node Leads to plan current and future operations. Provides detailed information showing real-time status and locations of assets in the transportation process into the area of operations or theater on the Installation Transportation Department SharePoint (ITD). Provides reports, operational data, and statistical data supporting movement control activities for deployment and other unit-level movements.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONDSIBLITIES:
- Provide customer assistance in all areas related to Movement Control of equipment, personnel and cargo by surface and air.
- Receive and update reports and statistical data on SharePoint.
- Assist customer in coordinating and scheduling Material Handling Equipment in support of Deployment, Redeployment and administrative moves.
- Assist customer with coordinating and scheduling Commercial Line Haul trucks and Commercial Buses for deployment and Redeployment.
- Assist customer in coordinating and scheduling Installation Transportation Motor Pool transportation.
- Coordinate movement support requirements with all transportation nodes for Deployment and Redeployment.
- Attend In Process Reviews (IPR).
- Distribute Call Forward Messages to Deploying/Redeploying customers.
- Complete daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
- Stay current on deployment regulations and policies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five (5) or more years of documented experience in the U.S. Army Transportation Unit Movements field.
- Conversant with Department of Defense (DoD) Regulation 4500.9-R.
- Conversant with 49 CFR Code of Federal Regulations.
- Conversant with DoD, Forces Command and Department of the Army deployment regulations.
- Conversant with all equipment tie-down and securement procedures for surface movements by Rail, Truck and Vessel.
- Conversant with U.S. Military vehicles, containers and equipment.
- CAC required.
- Valid State and GSA Driver's License.
- Ability to resolve issues and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to the customers.
- Knowledge of policies, processes, and systems pertaining to Transportation Services.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, perform with a high degree of accuracy and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact at all levels.
