Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Design and oversee comprehensive safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This includes driver training, safety audits, and accident prevention initiatives.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with trucking operations.
- Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including DOT regulations, OSHA standards, and other relevant safety guidelines.
- Safety Training: Develop and deliver safety training programs for drivers, maintenance staff, and other employees to promote safe practices and behaviors.
- Emergency Response Planning: Develop and implement emergency response plans to handle accidents, natural disasters, and other emergencies.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Risk Management, Transportation, or a related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in safety and risk management within the trucking or transportation industry. Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate in Risk Management (ARM) are highly desirable.
