Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization in achieving its mission and strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to promote improvement and operational excellence. This role requires a visionary leader who can effectively manage resources, foster business development, and engage with the community to enhance the organization's impact. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the organization’s operations, including financial management, program development, staff management, fundraising, marketing and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the organization’s strategic plan in alignment with its mission and goals.
- Provide leadership to the staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Manage the organization’s budget, financial resources, and fiscal planning.
- Identify and pursue fundraising opportunities, including grant writing, donor cultivation, and special events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including board members, donors, partners, and community members.
- Oversee the development and implementation of programs, ensuring they align with the organization’s mission and deliver impactful results.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
- Represent the organization at public events, conferences, and meetings, acting as a spokesperson and advocate.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with the board of directors, providing regular updates and seeking guidance on key decisions.
- Stay informed about trends and developments in the field to adapt strategies and initiatives as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field preferred.
- Proven experience in nonprofit leadership, management, or a related role.
- Strong organizational and strategic planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to fundraise and secure financial support.
- Grant writing experience preferred.
- Experience with budgeting, financial management, and reporting.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the nonprofit sector.
