Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Manager to lead our shop fabrication team in a dynamic and growing manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background steel fabrication processes, ASME pressure vessels and code piping with the ability to interpret drawings and oversee the assembly of multiple projects at a time. This role requires a hands-on approach, ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Duties
- Fabrication Manager provides leadership, guidance and training in all fabrication areas. To include, but not limited to, equipment, software, and company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for planning and execution of shop projects.
- Responsible for maintaining shop schedule by assigning daily tasks and goals to assigned shop employees.
- Serves as liaison between project managers, estimator and shop floor.
- Oversees shop material inventory and ordering of consumables in a timely manner and according to company purchasing policies and budget.
- Responsible for maintaining an organized shop and lay down yard.
- Collaborate with engineering and estimator to optimize fabrication processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Coordinates with customers and project managers on a daily basis to ensure the highest level of customer service and on-time delivery are maintained.
- Assures that the highest standards are maintained for safety, quality and housekeeping.
- Supervises and reprimands assigned employees, including assessing and planning for overtime needs.
- Responsible for overseeing machine and equipment maintenance.
- Fabrication Manager performs a variety of fabrication tasks as required by production needs, including operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading material, and operating powered and/or manual banding equipment as needed for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, promoting safety and compliance with industry standards.
- Handles additional tasks necessary to fulfill the needs of the company and the customer as deemed by their manager.
Requirements
- Experience in a fabrication environment, with a strong understanding of various fabrication techniques.
- Strong welding knowledge, specifically ASME PVC, B31.1, B31.3 and AWS D1.1
- Proficient with computers and with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Revu.
- MUST have CAD experience.
- Experience in using welding machines, CNC plasma tables, CNC shears, CNC press brakes, plate rolls, saws, lathes, mills etc.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings accurately.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb and crawl over and under fabricated materials.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications is a plus.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
