Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Facilities (ADF) is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, welcoming environment at the Hurstbourne Country Club. The ADF will ensure proper operation and presentation of the club’s facilities by providing repairs, preventative maintenance, cleaning, and stocking in a timely and organized manner.
Position Characteristics

The successful ADF will be willing to follow directions and ask questions for clarification when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper weekend opening of the buildings including, but not limited to, opening doors, disabling alarms, turning on and checking lights, checking steam room, assessing cleanliness, assessing HVAC systems.
- Complete scheduled checklists and special projects daily.
- Assist the Director of Facilities with projects, preventative maintenance, and repairs.
- Provide daily straightening and stocking to ensure proper presentation of the club’s facilities throughout the day.
- Straighten furniture, fixtures, and decorations to maintain consistent presentation of the club facilities.
- Replace lamps and batteries.
- Maintain general fire safety compliance.
- Manage supply inventory.
- Maintain records on all equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Exude a strong work ethic without constant supervision.
- Maintain a guest focus while performing duties.
- Be flexible and willing to perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

Appearance and Grooming
All staff are required to follow the guidelines set forth by the associate handbook.

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively communicate one-on-one, small groups, customers, and staff.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions. Ability to deal with problems with concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to address customer personalities in various business situations.
Physical Demands
Ability to reach, bend stoop, stand, and walk; use hands and fingers to hand and feel objects, tools and controls. Ability to speak with and hear others. Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Ability to climb ladders and work in high places. Ability to see well.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a staff member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. There will be occasional exposure to smoke or steam as well as hot temperatures and extreme cold. The work environment will occasionally be fast paced and stressful. The noise level is usually moderate to loud.
Equipment
The position requires the staff member to be able to use general equipment and tools including, but not limited to, vacuums, power washers, ladders, mops, hoses, cleaning chemicals, and the required safety equipment. All equipment must be used without jeopardizing the safety of the user, colleagues, and guests. Appropriate safety equipment and apparel must be worn including proper footwear.
