Hushabye Nursery is an Arizona nonprofit organization with a mission to ‘embrace substance exposed babies and their caregivers with compassionate, evidence-based care that changes the course of their entire lives.’ The organization was founded by Tara Sundem, a neonatal nurse practitioner who witnessed firsthand the challenges of newborns exposed prenatally to opioids and those families trying to care for them. Hushabye Nursery’s innovative model offers a safe and inclusive space where mothers, family members and babies – from conception through childhood – can receive integrative care and therapeutic support that offers each child the best possible life outcomes. Programs will include prenatal and postpartum support groups, inpatient nursery services and outpatient therapies.
POSITION OVERVIEW: Reporting to and working closely with the Director of Outreach and Community Education, the Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for engagement with community partners, members and other interested parties to ensure Hushabye Nursery’s mission and services are represented. This includes outreach to all stakeholders, including prospective clients and referral sources. This position includes attending community meetings, conferences, public presentations, as well as promotion of the Hushabye Nursery through written marketing collateral.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES: QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Cultivate and promote positive relationships with clients, community partners, and key stakeholders.
· Research and attend relevant community events (in-person and online) as a Hushabye Nursery Representative and track the ROI for each
· Strategically outreach to agencies, organizations, partners and stakeholders to schedule and/or conduct presentations, both in-person and utilizing online platforms. Managing and coordinating invitations and scheduling.
· Develop and maintain a feedback loop/communication strategy with clients and partnering organizations, ensuring timely communication of information and distribution of marketing materials.

· Conduct site visits -with partnering and seek out additional potential community agencies as requested and as needed.
· Meet with post-natal clients while in hospital to ensure streamline transfer from hospital to Hushabye Nursery.
· Streamline partnerships with a variety of community partners.
· Increase visibility and understanding of the system-wide impact made by Hushabye Nursery.
· Quickly assess and analyze complex and challenging issues and communicate information and actions needed in a timely and responsive manner.
· Demonstrate competency in reporting and using the Hushabye Nursery CRM to maximize efficiency of client and community outreach according to agency standards.
· Demonstrate professionalism, tact and diplomacy while representing the Hushabye Nursery in meetings, through written correspondence and other official roles.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of community resources, social service providers and trends in the field.
- Excellent communication skills for a variety of audiences, both written and verbal with the ability to create written marketing materials for a variety of communication platforms.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to attend functions/activities outside normal business hours, including some weekends
- Maintain valid Arizona Driver License and State-mandated Auto Insurance
- High level of professionalism and discretion is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Current AZ DPS Level 1 fingerprint clearance
- Current CPR certification
EDUCATION (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS) and Experience:
- BA or BS degree from an accredited institution, experience in education and/or marketing preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
