Truss / Component Designer Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a talented and experienced EWP Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing engineered wood products such as trusses, beams, and panels, and will play a crucial role in creating accurate and efficient designs that meet project specifications and requirements.
Truss / Component Designer Responsibilities:
- Utilize CAD software and other design tools to create detailed drawings and layouts for engineered wood products.
- Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of the designs.
- Generate material lists and specifications for manufacturing and construction purposes.
- Review and revise designs based on feedback and changes in project scope.
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations related to engineered wood products and construction practices.
Truss / Component Designer Requirements:
- Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and building codes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with project management and coordination is a plus.
- Must pass required company drug screens as part of drug-free workplace.
Salary : $50,000 - $75,000
