Husky Corporation seeks a dynamic and results-driven Central Region Sales Manager to drive sales growth and manage customer relationships within the region.
About the Role
This strategic thinker will be responsible for assigned accounts and business development activities, leveraging extensive experience in the petroleum equipment industry or other industrial business-to-business sales, as well as a deep understanding of market dynamics within the region.
Main Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Central Region.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform sales decisions.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and timely resolution of issues.
- Actively market and generate specifications from end user customers.
- Establish and conduct product demonstration and evaluation sites.
- Conduct regular business reviews, demonstrations, and training with distributor customers to ensure alignment and identify growth opportunities.
- Rep Management:
- Utilize a team of external manufacturer's representatives to drive regional sales growth.
- Provide coaching and product training to enhance the manufacturer's reps' skills and performance.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.
- Sales Operations:
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing regular updates to management.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including production, engineering, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of sales activities.
- Market Expansion:
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities and partnerships within the Central Region.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to promote the company's products and brand.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum seven years of sales experience, with at least three years in a sales management role.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership/management of external resources to get work done.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel within the Central Region as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
