The HVL Operator at Husqvarna Construction in Columbia, SC, assembles high-speed segmented blades (up to 48” diameter) in the High-Volume Line.
Shift:
2nd, Monday – Friday, 2:30–11:00 pm with overtime
As HVL Operator, you will be completely responsible for set-up, operation, basic maintenance, and cleaning machines and equipment used in the assembly operation. You will Perform radius grinding, laser welding, sharpening, exposure grinding, and de-greasing with quality control checks.
You will run all process machines (including grinders, welders, sharpeners, degreasers, and measurement tools) at the same time to ensure production volume requirements are met. The HVL Operator will also be responsible for cleaning the HVL production area during each shift and maintaining organized storage for tools and fixtures used in the assembly process.

Job Requirements:
- Experience in CNC equipment setup and operation.
- Proficiency with quality control tools (micrometers, dial indicators, calipers).
- Basic shop math skills.
- Industrial math and metric measurements.
- Diamond tool design, micrometer and torque wrench use, and laser welding techniques.
- High school diploma preferred.
- CNC equipment experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for full shifts.
- Exposure to manufacturing environments, including powdered metals and sharp components.
- PPE required per OSHA regulations.
