Supply and Inventory Planner

As the Supply and Inventory Planner at Husqvarna Construction in Columbia, SC, you optimize inventory across the supply chain while maintaining target customer service levels, forecast accuracy, and safety stock. This role serves as the primary contact for manufacturing sites, addressing supply issues and ensuring smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

• Plan and manage inventory, adjusting re-order points and order quantities as needed.
• Communicate supply plans and deviations with factories and internal teams.
• Ensure deliveries meet performance targets and customer expectations.
• Manage overstock, obsolete inventory, and participate in the scrapping process.
• Address supply shortages, recommend solutions, and handle claims and returns.
  
  
  

Supply Planning

• Develop and refine supply plans, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts.
• Place and monitor factory orders based on lead times and capacity.
• Provide accurate supply information to factories and suppliers.
• Establish and track inventory targets for vendor supplies and components.
  
  
  

S&OP & Performance Metrics

• Coordinate product phase-in/phase-out with factories and supply chain teams.
• Lead supply planning meetings and ensure fair allocation during supply constraints.
• Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production schedulers to assess manufacturing availability.
• Report on inventory status and performance metrics.
  
  
  

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of AS400, SAP, MRP processes, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience as a Buyer in manufacturing.
• 3-5 years in a production/manufacturing environment (CPM preferred).
