What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk position at Hussmann?
Overview
This position will consist of leading the shipping department prep and load team. The shipping lead position is a working lead position and will still be required to help ship cases daily.
Responsibilities
Related work experience in shipping is preferred and ability to perform related functions with minimal supervision. Candidate will be responsible for packing slips as well as bills of lading. Team work attitude is important since the candidate will occasionally be asked to help crate cases, package parts and load cases onto trucks. Individual must have basic computer skills. Some training will be available. The ideal candidate should also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and drive for innovation. Good communication skills. Will interact with truck drivers and direct them to park or leave the truck in/off the shipping docks. Perform routine truck trailer inspections to ensure compliance with the case loading requirements. Works closely with the shipping coordinator from first shift, 2nd shift team leader, MFG supervisors, and Shipping supervisor.

Compensation $21.40 - $22.10 an hour

- NEED TO HAVE PROVEN WORK EXPERIENCE AS A SHIPPING CLERK OR SIMILAR ROLE.
- FLEXIBILITY TO WORK DIFFERENT HOURS.
- ABILITY TO MULTITASK AND PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO DETAIL IN A FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT.
- A HIGH SCHOOL QUALIFICATION OR EQUIVALENT.
