Husson's College of Science and Humanities is seeking to compile a pool of qualified candidates interested in future part-time teaching opportunities in History. Such opportunities are dependent upon the needs of the University. Assignments may require teaching day or evening classes as needed. Interested applicants who have previously applied for the History adjunct pool should resubmit materials to this new posting.
Note : This is a face-to-face position; instructors are expected to be on campus.
Examples of Duties
The instructor is responsible for preparing and conducting classes, preparing and grading assignments, and holding weekly office hours with students.
The College of Science and Humanities is seeking adjuncts to teach the following courses :
HY 101 : Western Civilization
HY 102 : Early World Civilization
HY 103 : Modern World Civilization
HY 111 : U.S. History I to 1877
HY 112 : U.S. History II since 1877
HY 211 : American National Government
HY 213 : State and Local Government
HY 301 : Twentieth Century History
Typical Qualifications
Master's degree in History or a closely related discipline is required. A PhD is preferred.

Masters Prepared $933.33 maximum per credit hour
Undergraduate Course :
Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared $1,016.67 maximum per credit hour

Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared $1,100.00 maximum per credit hour
- Rate is dependent upon the number of students enrolled in the course assigned.
