Description
This is a full-time (12-month) on-campus ranked faculty position in the College of Health & Pharmacy, School of Nursing, with administrative duties. The Graduate Director is expected to manage Husson's MSN programs and lead one of the tracks. The Director will also be expected to teach assigned courses specific to his / her area of expertise. The Director will have administrative oversight of the tracks in the Graduate Nursing Program in collaboration with the Chief Nursing Administrator and other Track Coordinators to ensure academic and practice standards are maintained. In addition, the Director will supervise adjunct and fulltime faculty and ensure that they fulfill responsibilities in advising, scholarship, and community service as delineated in the Husson University Faculty Handbook.

Administrative Responsibilities
- Growing enrollment in the graduate programs through collaboration of recruitment efforts with online enrollment team.
- Performing tasks related to student admissions, transfer, and graduation.
- Track Coordinator responsibilities in area of expertise.
- Ensuring student experience is positive and engaging and courses developed with a student-first mindset and learning support.
- Ensuring all learning outcomes and essentials are met through proper assessment.
- Hiring adjunct faculty and assisting in recruiting faculty.
- Monitoring student progress and progression in conjunction with the Office of Assessment.
- Preparing class schedules.
- Working with faculty to propose curricular changes and student program schedules.
- Performing tasks related to student admissions, transfer, and graduation, and responding to student appeals / complaints.
- Evaluation of classroom teaching of adjuncts.
- Mentoring / supporting full-time faculty and adjuncts.
- Assisting the Chief Nursing Administrator with accreditation.
- Overseeing and updating websites and marketing materials related to the graduate program.
Additional Responsibilities
Teaching :
Teaching responsibility for up to 9 credit hours per semester.
Scholarship and Professional Activity :
All nursing faculty are expected to maintain currency within their professional areas of expertise and to participate in scholarly activities as defined by the Faculty Handbook.
Service :
All nursing faculty members are expected to actively participate in Program and School meetings, retreats, committees, and activities (Open House, Convocation, and / or student recruitment projects) as well as serve on committees within the School, College, and / or University.
Student Advising :
All nursing faculty maintain student office hours and advise nursing students each year, as assigned, following the policies and procedures documented in the Husson Faculty Advising Manual.
Typical Qualifications
Education : Earned doctorate in nursing or related field; MSN in Advanced Practice Nursing (i.e. FNP, PMHNP, AG ACNP) required. Candidates nearing completion of a doctoral degree will be considered.
Licensure : Active unencumbered United States RN licensure. Active unencumbered United States advanced practice (nurse practitioner) licensure is required.
Experience : Administrative experience and or evidence of leadership qualities.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Minimum of three years of clinical experience preferred; The faculty must have documented expertise in his or her area(s) of teaching responsibility.
Competence / Skills : Ability to demonstrate initiative, make sound decisions, budget time, focus on detail, and complete tasks on time while functioning with multiple technologies and across multiple systems.
Ability to adapt to new ideas and circumstances. Technology savvy, willing to consider new ways of course delivery.
Computer : Good skills in LMS (i.e. Canvas, GoogleApps, Microsoft Office, and other appropriate software and technology).
