RUNNER/BUSSER AT HUSTLE & DOUGH | ARRIVE MEMPHIS

POSITION PROFILE:

We're looking for a hands-on, observant runner/busser to support the dynamic team at Hustle & Dough.

ABOUT HUSTLE & DOUGH:

Located at ARRIVE Memphis, HUSTLE & DOUGH is our all-day bakery and café. Hustle & Dough began in 2016 as a part-time cottage-bakery-sourdough-baking project. The goal was simple enough: bring the highest quality and freshest naturally leavened breads and pastries to the people of Memphis. THE TASK AT HAND:

• You’re a friendly face that enhances our guests’ experience by bringing your own flavor to the table
• Making sure guests are having a fabulous time, from the moment they arrive until it's time to say goodbye.
• Creating a warm, friendly, and laidback atmosphere that turns first-time guests into regulars.
• Learning our steps of service, products, menu, and systems inside and out.
• Working side by side with kitchen staff and servers to ensure all orders look delicious and match guest requests
• Learning the menu front to back so you can present dishes with accuracy
• The ability to explain ingredients and preparation methods for each item in a helpful and friendly manner
• Developing a sound understanding of table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, capacity, and hours of operation
• Delivering food and beverage items in a prompt and hospitable manner
• Active communication with servers and applicable team members of wait times and any product shortage
• Assisting servers with food and beverage service and bussing to ensure guest satisfaction
• Maintaining stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments.
• Performing any general cleaning tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager to adhere to health standards
• Performing other duties as requested, such as cleaning spills, handling guest requests, greeting and seating guests and ensuring overall guest satisfaction 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Has a strong working knowledge of and passion for the food industry
• Displays a strong hands-on approach
• Thinks critically and objectively
• Guest service oriented
• Current Servsafe Food Handler Certificate Required
• Flexible schedule – must be available to work a variety of shifts
• Perform job junctions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
• Prioritize, organize, and follow up
• Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment
• Follow directions thoroughly
• Understand guest’s service needs
• Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
• Work with minimal supervision
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
• Ability to carry up to 40lbs.
• Ability to walk, stand, and bend continuously throughout the day.
• 1-3 years of experience as a Busser/Runner in a high-quality full service or fast casual environment.
