Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Hutchinson Aerospace & Industry. As a key member of our site's continuous improvement manufacturing engineering team, you will play a vital role in impacting the total business.
About You
- You will be responsible for managing process development and industrialization for new products, as well as improving existing processes.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following company safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Perform as a technical liaison with production planning, operations, and product engineering personnel.
- Plan and design manufacturing processes following APQP principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization to maximize efficiency.
- Review and evaluate proposed and processed engineering changes and/or other specification requirements.
- Troubleshoot main process issues, including tooling issues.
- Implement process improvements to drive tighter capability of our manufacturing processes using SPC principles.
Qualifications
- Associate degree and one to two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Rubber to metal molding engineering experience is highly desired.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience in component manufacturing.
- Experience in adhesives and application of adhesives to metals used in rubber to metal molding.
- Proven track record in program management and leadership with ability to communicate at all levels.
